01 Who we are

UV Works Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian-based UV printing business offering custom printed products including stickers, decals, and related merchandise. We are committed to protecting the personal information of our customers and website visitors in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and handle your personal information when you use our website, place an order, or submit custom artwork or images for printing.

02 Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identity information — your name and, where relevant, your business name.
  • Contact information — email address, phone number, and delivery address.
  • Order information — product specifications, quantities, customisation details, and order history.
  • Payment information — processed securely through third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our systems.
  • User-uploaded files — images, artwork, logos, or design files you submit to us for the purpose of printing.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website.

We collect only what is reasonably necessary to fulfil your order and operate our services.

03 User-uploaded images & artwork

Important This section specifically covers files and images you upload to us. Please read it carefully.

When you upload images, artwork, logos, or other design files to us for the purpose of having them printed, we want to be transparent about exactly how those files are handled.

How we use your files: Your uploaded images are used solely to fulfil your print order and to prepare your design for production. This may include resizing, colour-correcting, or otherwise preparing the artwork to meet our printing requirements.

What we do not do with your files:

  • We will not sell, license, or distribute your uploaded images or artwork to any third party.
  • We will not use your images for our own marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes without your explicit, separate consent.
  • We will not share your artwork with other customers or make it publicly available.

Your responsibility: By uploading an image or file, you confirm that you own the image or have the legal right to use it and reproduce it in the form requested. We accept no liability for copyright infringement resulting from files submitted by customers.

Retention of uploaded files: We may retain a copy of your uploaded files for a reasonable period to assist with reorders, disputes, or reprints. You may request deletion of your files at any time by contacting us — see Section 11.

04 How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfil your orders, including producing and dispatching printed products.
  • Communicate with you about your order status, queries, or issues.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g. order confirmation, shipping updates).
  • Improve our products, services, and website based on usage patterns.
  • Comply with our legal obligations under Australian law.
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our terms.

We will only send you marketing communications if you have opted in to receive them. You may unsubscribe at any time.

05 How we store and protect your data

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

Our security measures include:

  • Secure HTTPS encryption across our website.
  • Access controls limiting who within our business can view your information.
  • Using reputable third-party payment processors that comply with PCI-DSS standards.

While we take these precautions, no data transmission or storage system is completely secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.

06 Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or uploaded images to third parties.

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Trusted third parties who assist us in operating our business, such as payment processors, shipping carriers, or email platforms — only to the extent necessary to perform their services.
  • Legal obligations: If required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information as legally required.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a sale or transfer of our business, your information may be transferred to the new owner, subject to the same privacy protections.

All third-party service providers we engage are required to handle your information in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable Australian privacy law.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information or uploaded files, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations.
